Blueberry: a case study | As you will know by now, blueberry is indeed the superior purple fruit. I hope this is unsurprising to many of you as they are most definately the most delicious. They are also full of surprises! Will it be sweet, tangy, plump, chewy? Who knows? Not me until its already in my mouth. |
Purple Grape: a case study | Ah, the infamous purple (red, shh) grape. This is a touchy subject for me, because while I LOVE the fresh fruit, grape flavoured things are disgusting - no arguments. But for just the fruit, they are pretty top teir - crunchy, juicy, sweet and cheap when in season. What's not to like? |
Plum: a case study | Plum, plum, plum... Why are you so expensive? Nothing worse than spending $6/kg and they're cruchy and sour. However, get a plum on a good day and it's a magical experience. This ranking is based on mostly the latter experience, but I could not shake the shadow of the former looming above my decision. |
Fig: a case study | Now, fig is a tricky one because I can't say I actually know much about them except that they're a type of tree. I also recall there's a lot of seed action going on? However, my memory does produce memories of a sticky, sweet, chewy fruit and that just sounds delicious, so it gets 4th place. |
